Electricity Grid Holds Up To 30,400 MW

The National Electricity Grid is expected to reach a maximum of 30,400 megawatt (MW) compared to 29,800 MW a day before and a minimum of 23,450 MW, Anwal Al Ghad reported.

The electricity generation capacity across Egypt is currently stable with no power-cuts as power plants are constantly supplied with sufficient amount of natural gas and mazut.

The National Energy Control Center (NECC) noted that today’s electricity capacity signal has turned green since midnight up until 10 AM.

The green signal is an indicator of safety and stability, while the orange signal indicates that the grid’s capacity is increasing and must be reduced and the red signal is a warning that an action must be taken immediately.
