Enppi, Bureau Veritas Team Up on Engineering, Emissions reduction

Egypt’s Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries (Enppi) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU)  Bureau Veritas, a global leader in inspection, testing, and certification services, to expand cooperation in engineering services, asset integrity management, digital transformation, and emissions reduction in Egypt and international markets.

The agreement, signed on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2026), establishes a framework for collaboration in inspection, environmental services, and technical assessments for energy assets.

Khaled Ibrahim, Enppi Chairman, and Manaf Al-Aryedh, Bureau Veritas Vice President for the Central Middle East Region, signed the MoU in the presence of Bertrand Martin, Bureau Veritas Senior Vice President for Industrials and Commodities; Tarek Hamouda, Enppi Chairman’s Assistant for Business Development; and Radwan Samir, Enppi’s UAE Branch Manager.

Under the agreement, Bureau Veritas, which is listed on the Euronext Paris Stock Exchange,  will provide Enppi with design review services for energy assets, fitness-for-service studies, and remaining-life assessments. The cooperation will also cover conformity assessments against international and national codes and standards, as well as contractual requirements.

The partnership extends to sustainability and emissions management, including carbon-marking audits, carbon-credit services, and the measurement and management of methane and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. It will also cover leak detection and repair (LDAR) services.

Additional areas of cooperation include 3D modeling and digital-twin development, third-party inspection, surveillance, and expediting services worldwide, alongside specialized technical training and capacity-building programs.

The agreement comes as Egypt advances efforts to reduce emissions across its petroleum sector, particularly methane emissions.

Enppi is a global EPC contractor with extensive experience delivering onshore and offshore oil, gas, refining, and petrochemical projects worldwide.
