Egypt Oil & Gas 2nd Winter Cup Soccer Tournament

The 2nd Egypt Oil & Gas Winter Soccer Tournament took place this month. Egypt Oil & Gas would like to thank all of the tournament's sponsors: Dana Gas, Enap Sipetrol, Kuwait Energy, Lafarge and TransGlobe Energy. We would also like to thank all of this year's participating teams: Apache, Baker Hughes, Dana Gas, EDC, Enap Sipetrol, Halliburton, Lafarge, Kuwait Energy, Mantrac, PWC, Transglobe ''A'' and TransGlobe ''B''. It is worth mentioning that Halliburton was the winner in both the Ramadan and winter tournaments this year.

Launching Event to Celebrate Cooperation Agreement Between Oil and Gas Skills (OGS) and PricewaterhouseCoopers ”PwC’s Academy”

On the 10th of November 2013, PwC's Academy and OGS held the launching event of the cooperation agreement between OGS and PwC's Academy. The event took place at the JW Marriot with the attendance of numerous representatives from petroleum companies in Egypt as well as PwC Egypt. This cooperation resulted in a business alliance between the two organizations to consolidate PwC's Academy in Egypt as well as the ME training expertise to conduct and deliver selective number of training programs to OGS' expended clients' base and businesses in Egypt, UAE, Libya, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

PICO Sponsors Ain Shams University Racing Team

PICO actively supports numerous activities as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility. In order to promote education and young people in Egypt, PICO recently sponsored the Racing Team from Ain Shams University. The team will participate in several prestigious international competitions in car manufacturing and racing.

EPEX Explores Unconventional Resources in Egypt

The Egyptian Petroleum Society (EPEX), headed by Dr. Ahmed A. Fattah, recently devoted a monthly session to the topic of unconventional resources in Egypt. Held on June 24th at the Sofitel in Maadi, the session brought together government officials, academics and industry professionals to discuss the potential of unconventional exploration in Egypt.

Halliburton Hosts Conference on Unconventional Resources

Halliburton recently hosted the 2013 Technology Forum at the Cairo JW Marriott. Titled ''Shale Plays: Discovering the Opportunities in Egypt,'' the event brought governmental officials and industry executives together in order to discuss the potential of shale exploration in Egypt. The event, organized by Halliburton, was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum and EGPC.

Shell and British Council Egypt Honor Intilaaqah Graduates

For the seventh year in a row Shell Egypt and British Council Egypt honored the graduates of the 'Shell Intilaaqah Egypt' program. The seventh annual awards ceremony was held at the Intercontinental City Stars, El Saraya Ballroom.

Kuwait Energy Launches Partnership with Students from Suez Canal University

Kuwait Energy recently announced an educational partnership with the Society of Petroleum Engineers involving students from Suez Canal University. The partnership is part of Kuwait Energy's ongoing efforts to support community-based initiatives.

The North Africa Technical Conference and Exhibition (NATC) took place on April 15th-19th in Cairo. The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) hosted the event with the help of sponsors such as Baker Hughes, Total, Schlumberger and Shell.

Dow Chemical Works to Enhance STEM Education In Egypt

In order to foster a better understanding of worldwide industries and broaden the horizons of students in matters that relate to their fields of interest and studies, Dow Chemical arranged a visit for the Maadi STEM School for Girls on April 3rd. Dow is working to build an innovative and competitive workforce, and create a knowledgeable society that values science and technology through its support for STEM education and careers. As an attempt in innovation, Dow is supporting the Education Consortium for the Advancement of Stem in Egypt (ECASE) project with STEM schools to make a difference for students, educators and academic institutions.
