TRAINING FOR OPTIMIZATION
The idea behind Egypt Oil & Gas’s Production Optimization Convention was to help the industry enhance its effectiveness. In support of this, the convention activities began with a full day dedicated to training sessions, designed to offer practical applications for production optimization. The core focus of the day revolved around artificial lift, going from an overview on the four forms of lift currently employed in Egypt to an in depth explanation of the optimizing production using each type of lift.
International Women’s Day at GUPCO
BP is one of the main sponsors of the International Women’s Day held in the beginning of March. As such, it was proposed that GUPCO host an event to recognize and celebrate the contributions women have made to the oil and gas industry in Egypt. It was also held to try and inspire women currently working in GUPCO and our shareholder offices. GUPCO has a proud history of hiring, training, and developing all of their staff—including many of the women who now hold senior positions in government organizations.
MOC 2014: Egypt Is Back on Track
The 2014 Mediterranean Oil Conference (MOC) was held in Alexandria under the theme of “Unlocking the Potentials of Mediterranean Oil and Gas.” The three-day conference opened with a speech by Eng. Tarek El-Molla, Chairman of EGPC and Chairman of the 7th annual MOC.
GE Oil & Gas and Petrojet Mark the Manufacture of 1000th Pumping Unit for Oil and Gas sector in Egypt
Cairo, Egypt; September 22, 2014: GE Oil & Gas (NYSE: GE) and Petrojet Egypt, a multidisciplinary contractor who specializes in providing EPC services for the oil and gas sector, celebrated the local manufacture in Egypt of the 1000th API Certified Sucker Rod pumping unit.

ENAP Sipetrol - Egypt Branch had the pleasure of hosting this year's EPEX Conference (Egyptian Petroleum Exploration Society) at Sky Resort on Wednesday December 4, 2013, under the auspices of HE the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. The Egyptian Oil Sector's most prominent figures, as well as Sipetrol's top management currently headed by Eng. Sayed Rezk, the newly appointed General Manager, attended the conference. The 2nd Egypt Oil & Gas Winter Soccer Tournament took place this month. Launching Event to Celebrate Cooperation Agreement Between Oil and Gas Skills (OGS) and PricewaterhouseCoopers ”PwC’s Academy”
On the 10th of November 2013, PwC's Academy and OGS held the launching event of the cooperation agreement between OGS and PwC's Academy. The event took place at the JW Marriot with the attendance of numerous representatives from petroleum companies in Egypt as well as PwC Egypt. This cooperation resulted in a business alliance between the two organizations to consolidate PwC's Academy in Egypt as well as the ME training expertise to conduct and deliver selective number of training programs to OGS' expended clients' base and businesses in Egypt, UAE, Libya, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
