Kuwait Energy board meets in Egypt
Kuwait Energy's board members met in Egypt in October to visit their sites and discuss further investments in the region. Kuwait Energy's board hosted a dinner at Marriot Zamalek, to highlight the accomplishments and future forecasts of the Company, and took the opportunity to network with industry professionals in Egypt. Kuwait Energy's Executive Chairman Dr. Manssour Aboukhamseen, Ms. Sara Akbar - the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mohammad Alhowqal - Chief of Operations and Mr. Harry Saul - President, Kuwait Energy Egypt, were among the Company's team that welcomed many renowned figures from Egypt's energy sector to the event, headed by Egyptian Oil Minister Mr. Osama Kamal. The ECHEM/Petroleum Economist Egypt Petrochemicals Conference, Petrochemicals in the New Egypt
On the 26th and the 27th of September, the Egyptian Holding Company for Petrochemicals (ECHEM) and Petroleum Economist organized the Egypt Petrochemicals Conference in the JW Marriott hotel in Cairo. The conference revolved around the theme of Petrochemicals in the New Egypt, aiming to discuss the prospects, opportunities, and challenges facing the growing petrochemicals sector in Egypt. Several high-profile figures and executives attended the conference in order to partake in the discussion regarding the development of Egypt's petrochemicals industry, most prominent among them Prime Minister Dr. Hisham Qandil and Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. On the 6th of June, Exxon Mobil Egypt celebrated the launch of Mobil SHC 600 oil series and Mobil SHC Gear in the Four Seasons Nile Plaza hotel. On the 17th of July 2012, Weatherford organized a seminar at the Dusit Thani hotel in order to exhibit the services and technologies it offers to clients. Representatives from the majority of Egypt's biggest oil and gas players were present, as Weatherford's subject matter experts used the opportunity to explain the advantages such technologies provide as well as to engage customers about their own production challenges. This Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) student chapter has witnessed a great progress recently. Under the slogan “Overcome your Horizontal Challenges”, the Integrated Solutions for Horizontal Well Design Workshop was held in Sharm El-Sheikh, 7-10July 2008. Through this three-day event, coordinated by Eng. Ahmed El-Aidy, Workshop Chairman & Mansoura Petroleum Company Chairman and Managing Director, more than 17 speakers contributed with their expertise and technical papers covering various aspects of the Horizontal Drilling. The 76 delegates had the opportunity to be exposed to such a variety of presentations and their interactions during the discussion rounds reflected the increasing awareness of Horizontal Drilling in Egypt and the vitality of its application.
