BEBA-EGA: Discussing New Gas Market Regulations

The Egyptian government has been dedicated to venturing new gas market regulations under the New Gas Law, which was the topic of a high-profile event jointly organized by the British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA) and the Egyptian Gas Association (EGA) on July 19th, 2016 held in Cairo Marriott Hotel.

The Egyptian Gas Association in collaboration with Andrews Kurth LLP Middle East, and Open Chance & Associates organized a two day training program International Oil and Gas Law and Contracts, held at the Intercontinental City Stars Hotel on the 1st and 2nd June, 2016.

TO&GY STRATEGIC ROUNDTABLE ‘UNLOCKING EGYPT’S ENERGY POTENTIAL’

The Oil & Gas Year (TOGY), in collaboration with Egyptian Gas Association (EGA), organized the Second Strategic Roundtable, held on Sunday 15th of May. The discussion shed light on ‘Unlocking Egypt’s Energy Potential’ in line with market liberalization, international financing, attracting foreign direct investments, and contracting philosophies.

CONVENTION WORKSHOP: MAXIMIZING OIL RECOVERY POTENTIAL

The EOR/ Water Flooding Technical Convention dedicated a day to a series of technical workshops bringing together experts in the oil and gas field to discuss new ideas and newly implemented techniques, as well as to learn from success stories.

CONVENTION TRAINING: OIL RECOVERY THROUGH WATERFLOODING

The training session provided participants with an opportunity to acquire extensive knowledge about the most recent technologies in the area of secondary and tertiary recovery methods.

EOR / WATER FLOODING: BOOSTING JVs’ PERFORMANCE

Egypt Oil & Gas Newspaper held the third technical convention in Cairo in May, bringing together key representatives of the oil and gas industry to debate one of the timeliest themes of common interest – Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and Waterflooding. On 23rd May, leaders in the oil sector gathered at a roundtable to search for ways forward through enhancement of the economics of Joint Venture companies (JVs).

MOC 2016: Egypt Offers Efficient Investment Model

The MOC 2016 Conference - Mediterranean Potentials - Unlocked Step 1 - has attracted a gigantic attention of current and new players in the industry. In the course of three days, more than 1,600 delegates from 23 countries gathered in the Bibliotheca Alexandria complex. Industry professionals and decision-makers presented their innovative ideas, new research, technologies, as well as the latest developments impacting the offshore exploration and production activities in the Mediterranean Sea.

INTERGAS VII: Linking the Experts to the Goal

On the 24th of November INTERGAS VII Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Conference, one of the more prominent events in the petroleum industry, brought together leading executives under one roof, with the purpose of exchanging ideas, networking and more importantly, discussing the future of the Egyptian industry at this crucial time. Egypt is currently in the process of expanding its energy mix, dealing with shortages in foreign currency and energy, not to mention the governments work on economic reform through the implementation of changes in the industry.

SPE NORTH AFRICA TECHNICAL CONFERENCE A RESOUNDING SUCCESS

With over 600 participants, more than 200 papers (from nearly 100 countries), and 27 technical sessions spread out over its three day duration, the Society of Petroleum Engineers North Africa Technical Conference and Convention (SPE NATC) was an event set to go down in history as a resounding success for the region.

SHELL COMPANIES IN EGYPT CELEBRATE SAFETY DAY

On 6 May 2015, Shell companies around the world celebrated the safety day, and so did Shell companies in Egypt. The event was well-received by the employees and generated very positive feedback. Under the motto “Achieving Goal Zero. Because We Care,” the communications and safety day was split into two; the first part covered the business and safety updates from the different Shell companies in Egypt; Shell Egypt N.V., Badr Eldin Petroleum Company BAPETCo (the joint-venture company between Shell and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, EGPC), and Shell Lubricants Egypt. The day also included road safety and security presentation, as well as a demonstration of the dangers of distracted driving.
