Xodus Group, the oil and gas services firm has been awarded its second contract for Abu Dhabi offshore analytical operations worth $400,000 this year by the Zakum Development Company (Zadco), reported Trade Arabia.

Xodus will conduct vibration analysis on its North and South Satellite Platforma, as the Upper Zakum operations areas have been experiencing piping and deck level structural vibration during different loading modes of operations. The scope of the analysis will cover qualitative and quantitative assessments, a vibration survey, Operating Deflection Shape (ODS) analysis, finite element modeling in order to verify corrective actions, and apply specialist techniques to reduce vibration.

The Zakum field is the fourth largest in the world with reserves that allow for sustainable production at up to 750,000 b/d of oil for 25 years.

According to World Oil, Xodus’ has garnered a total of $7.5m on international vibration contracts this year alone.
