Egypt Gas, one of the largest Egyptian gas distribution companies, has signed three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with SAFEEN Subsea and Subsea Services LCC, PEMMI UAE, and Sahara Emirates, to implement onshore and offshore projects in the UAE
The agreements, signed during the Abu Dhabi International Conference and Exhibition (ADIPEC), aim to explore, develop, and implement investment opportunities and future projects in oil, gas, energy, infrastructure, and onshore and offshore activities across the UAE and the targeted regional markets, said Egypt Gas in a statement.
Potential projects include mechanical works and the installation of steel pipelines with diameters of up to 36 inches and a combined length of around 150 kilometers (km) with an estimated value of $50 million, according to Egypt Gas.
The partners also aim to adopt MIF (Zap-Lock) technology as an alternative to conventional pipeline welding to improve operational efficiency and reduce construction time.
Established in 1983, Egypt Gas plays a key role in developing Egypt’s natural gas distribution network. The company also provides engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for onshore and offshore projects, as well as national infrastructure projects.
