APRC, APC Highlight HSE, Replacement Projects as Key Strategic Priorities for FY 2025/26

The health, safety, and environment (HSE) projects as well as the replacement and renewal projects came on the top priorities of the planning budget for Amreya Petroleum Refining Company (APRC) and Alexandria Petroleum Company (APC) during the fiscal year (FY) 2025/26.

During a general assembly meeting, APRC’s Chairman Mohamed Sobhi stated that the planning budget aims to increase the production of petroleum products, oils, alkyl benzene, special products, asphalt, and wax.

He reviewed the projects of developing industrial security systems and environmental protection, replacement, and renewal, in addition to the development projects for the company’s production complexes such as the naphtha and aromatics improvement complexes, as well as the projects of rationalizing energy consumption and improving the efficiency of its use.

While during APC’s general assembly, the company’s Chairman Reham Alfa, explained the most prominent targets to achieve the basic pillars that the company is focusing on this year, which include occupational safety and health and process safety projects, support for refining and production energy, replacement and renewal projects, energy rationalization projects and improving its efficiency, supporting digital transformation and development of technical operations in addition to projects for developing the petroleum geographic area in Alexandria, and social responsibility initiatives in Alexandria.

Presiding over the meeting, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi said that the culture of occupational safety and health is deeply rooted in the petroleum work system and has the highest priority, explaining that the petroleum sector conducts many training courses for employees to develop their skills and capabilities.

He also pointed to the importance of empowering women in the petroleum sector and the necessity of implementing projects supporting emissions reduction.
