The Egypt Oil & Gas (EOG) Technical Committee gathered at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation’s (EGPC) headquarters on April 24th to discuss ways of addressing the challenges and needs of the Egyptian oil and gas sector alongside EGPC.
As Egypt’s oil and gas sector embarks in a new era of technical and strategic developments, Cairo launched the second edition of the Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2018) under the High Patronage of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and support of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

Sahara Technical Institute (STI) is a successful oil and gas professional education and practical training excellence institute. It is part of Sapesco’s shareholders and sister companies, and works on strategic solutions to solve the oil and gas industry dilemmas. STI’s main philosophy consists on building a bridge between theoretical classroom instructions and integrated practical training.
Schlumberger continues to demonstrate its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) through its program to train young technicians. On December 17th, it hosted a celebration to honor 72 young people who graduated from its Technician Development Training Program Protocol.
Egypt Oil&Gas had cooperated with Andrews Kurth Legal Firm along with Open Chance Law Firm in order to inaugurate a training that casts more focus on the legality of the oil and gas field. The 2nd International Oil and Gas Law and Contracts Training Program was held on the 12th and 13th of April 2017, in Sky Executive Resort, in the attendance of the industry’s leaders.
The Egyptian oil and gas industry is in need of well-trained talented technicians to work on the Egyptian fields in order to positively affect the production. Hence, Schlumberger Egypt has launched a training program in cooperation with the Ministry of Man Power at a dedicated event held in one of Cairo’s biggest hotels in February. The aim of the program is to train young technicians to meet the best international standards.
