Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, has met with Ali Al Shamsi, General Manager of Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), and his accompanying delegation including Mohammed Jumaa Sharaf, General Manager and CEO of Emarat Misr Petroleum Products.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister praised the fruitful cooperation and partnership with Emirates General Petroleum Corp. in marketing and distributing petroleum products and service stations and the company’s distinguished experience characterized by quality and efficiency in the Egyptian market.
Al-Shamsi conveyed the greetings of the UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Al-Mazrouei, to his Egyptian counterpart, Karim Badawi, pointing out the distinguished relations and cooperation at all levels between the two countries.
Al Shamsi and his accompanying delegation reviewed the work model in managing a network of service fuel stations presented by Emarat Misr in cooperation with the Egyptian petroleum sector that includes fuel supply services for aircraft at several Egyptian airports.
The meeting also reviewed the promising opportunities in the Egyptian market especially in the field of marketing and distribution of fuel in light of the great urban expansion, the modern road network, and the establishment of new cities in the country. Hence, the Emirati officials expressed willingness to expand their business in the Egyptian market.
During the meeting, the two parties agreed on forming a joint working group between the Egyptian petroleum sector and Emarat to exploit opportunities for cooperation and investment in the field of marketing and distribution of petroleum products and advanced service stations.
