TSK, Enviromena Win $128m Solar Project Contract in Jordan

TSK Group, a Spanish EPC contractor, and Enviromena Power Systems, a UAE-based international solar photovoltaic integrator have been awarded a $128m contract to build a 103 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Jordan’s southern region of Al Quweira, reported Trade Arabia.

According to Enviromena CEO, Sami Khoreibi, “the Al Quweira solar plant will be crucial to Jordan’s energy diversification program and significantly reduce kingdom’s reliance on expensive hydrocarbons, helping it to reach its target of adding 600 MW of solar and wind power by 2016.”

Jordan’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will finance the total sum of the project through a grant awarded by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.

According to Zawya, TSK Group is a provider of power plant design, supply, construction, operation, and maintenance services with over 30-year experience. Enviromena is the largest EPC PV contractor in the MENA region with over 70 MW of PV installed capacity under operation in nine countries, specializing in turnkey PV solar power solutions.
