Petroleum Minister Visits PETROJET’s UAE Oilfield Infrastructure Project Site

Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, inspected a Petroleum Projects and Technical Consultations Company (PETROJET) infrastructure project site during an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to a ministry statement. The visit highlights the petroleum sector’s strategy to expand the international footprint of Egyptian contractors across key regional energy markets.

Badawi reviewed project progress and met with PETROJET’s Egyptian workforce. He was briefed on the company’s engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work on the WAVE C3A project, which supports oilfield infrastructure development for a consortium comprising the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA).

The project involves transporting and injecting treated seawater into wells in the Bab and Bu Hasa oilfields, supporting oil production efficiency and sustaining output.

The visit was attended by Salah Abdel Kerim, CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), Waleed Lotfy, Chairman of PETROJET, and Khaled Ibrahim, Chairman and Managing Director of ENPPI.

As a major international construction arm for oil, gas, and petrochemical infrastructure outside Egypt, PETROJET executes large-scale industrial projects, pipelines, and processing plants through its established branches in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Jordan, Algeria, Libya, and Iraq.

Badawi also visited the Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries (ENPPI) project site in Habshan to review the work firsthand during his visit to the UAE.
