Petrojet Completes Major Projects in Suez Canal

The Ministry of Petroleum revealed that Petrojet has successfully implemented a number of projects valued at EGP 22 billion, in coordination with the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, Al Ahram reported.

Projects included two 4.8-kilometer Suez Canal tunnels in Ismailia, which were inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in May, after being completed in record time. Less than three years instead of an estimated five to seven years.

Moreover, Petrojet participated in establishing a new 500-meter pier at East Port Said, as well as the second phase of the Egyptian Holding Company for Silos and Storage national project among other projects.

The ministry stressed the role of the petroleum sector in supporting the growth of the Egyptian economy as it enters a new stage.
