Lebanon to Start Gas Exploration by 2019-End

Lebanon is expected to start exploring for natural gas by the end of 2019 through a consortium led by French oil major Total, second vice-governor of Lebanon’s central bank, Saad Andary, revealed at a press conference, according to Reuters.

A plan for three to four years of exploration submitted to Lebanese authorities by a consortium of France’s Total, Italy’s Eni, and Russia’s Novatek was approved in May.
