The Sudanese Oil Minister, Mohammed Awad Zayed, met with his South Sudanese counterpart to discuss oil agreements and technical cooperation to restore Al-Wohda Oil Field and increase oil production in Upper Nile fields, All Africa reported.
Zayed has expressed hope that both sides will reach an acceptable agreement. He affirmed more cooperation between the two states, with his country willing to help the State of South Sudan to increase its production via logistic assistance and the reconsideration of transit fees, according to Sudan News Agency.
The South Sudan Oil Minister expressed satisfaction over the bilateral oil agreements with Sudan. He said: “we are here, to open a new chapter of cooperation between the two sides for the interest of the people of the two countries.”
