ISIS Bombed Egypt-Jordan Gas Pipeline

Ansar Beit Al Makdes, an ISIS affiliate, have bombed a main natural gas pipeline in Al Arish area in Egypt’s Sinai. The assailants placed explosive devices under the pipeline and activated them remotely, an action which halted gas supply to houses in the entire area, reported Ahram Online.

The pipeline which has been bombed 28 times have been used mainly by Egypt to export natural gas to Jordan, Syria and Israel.

The group claimed the bombing in a statement posted on Twitter 7th of January. “God willing, not a drop of gas will reach Jordan until the caliphate permits,” the statement read.
