EOG to Host Roundtable Discussing Brownfield Investments in Egypt

Under the patronage and with the participation of H.E. Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the Egypt Oil & Gas (EOG) Technical Committee is hosting a virtual roundtable on October 18 at 10:30 am (CLT), focusing on increasing investments in Egypt’s brownfields. 

 The roundtable will be moderated by Mohamad Fouad, Managing Director of EOG. The esteemed speakers include  H.E. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources; David Chi, Vice President and Country Manager at Apache Corporation; Tameer Nasser, Director and General Manager Egypt & Sudan at Baker Hughes; Dave Thomas, CEO at Cheiron;  Tayeb Huwair, COO at Dragon Oil; Colby Fuser, Vice President Egypt & Libya at Halliburton; Kamel Al-Sawi, President at Kuwait Energy Egypt; Karim Badawi, Managing Director Egypt and East-Mediterranean at Schlumberger; Khaled Kacem, VP Egypt, Country Chairman and Managing Director at Shell Egypt; Craig Robertson, Country Manager and Director at Transglobe Energy; Sameh Sabry, Senior VP and Managing Director of Egypt at Wintershall Dea. 

The roundtable will delve into the topical discussion of optimizing brownfield rejuvenation in Egypt. Within this topic, the role of technology to boost production at brownfields will be covered. Also, the industry experts will weigh in on the economic barriers of using brownfields and discuss how they can be an economically viable investment.
