EOG Committee’s Energy Transition Taskforce Paves the Way for COP 27

Egypt Oil & Gas Committee’s (EOG Committee) Energy Transition Taskforce held its first physical meeting on June 14th, at ENI headquarters, where members discussed plans to support the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in preparing for COP 27.

During the meeting, the taskforce’s members also discussed other initiatives that will be announced soon.

EOG Committee’s Energy Transition Taskforce is represented by nearly all the international oil companies (IOCs) and technology providers that are present in Egypt.

The EOG Committee was established in 2012 seeking to unify the industry’s voice and to work in parallel with the government to enhance the well-being of the petroleum industry. It brings together exploration and production companies, service companies, government entities, and leading industry experts under one roof to address the challenges the industry is facing and find potential solutions.
