Eni Supports Health Sector in Egypt with 20 Ventilators

Eni company has delivered 20 ventilators to the Egyptian health sector worth $600,000 in the light of the anti-Covid medical supply initiative organized by the petroleum sector and the international oil companies (IOCs) to support efforts of the Ministry of Health against the pandemic, a press release reported.

The delivery process was witnessed by  Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population and Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources who praised the endeavors of the health minister as well as the medical calibers during the time of the pandemic.

On this occasion, El Molla affirmed the keenness of the petroleum sector to fully support the health sector of Egypt referring to the initiatives the sector has organized previously; including blood donation campaigns, and anti-Covid medical supply donations.

The minister also thanked Eni for their permanent support to the Egyptian health sector, highlighting that the ministry’s hospitals and medical centers in Cairo, Alexandria and Suez are available to be used by the ministry of health when needed.

For her part, Zayed expressed her appreciation for the positive support of Eni  and highlighted the prompt coordination with the petroleum medical centers to receive Covid-19 vaccines.
On the same context, Antonio Panza, Eni’s Executive Director for North Africa and the Middle East, expressed Eni’s pride to contribute to the health sector in Egypt referring to the deep-rooted relations between his company and the oil sector in Egypt that extends over 65 years.
