Electricity production is remaining stable under 25,000 megawatts (MW), according to the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Amwal Al Ghad reports.
Demand today is projected to max out at 24,600 MW. It has been hovering in this range since November.
Lower temperatures and a steady supply of fuel have contributed to steady electricity generation, according to the ministry.
In August, households consumed 42.7% of the electricity generated in Egypt. The industrial sector consumed 27.2%, the public sector consumed 13.2%, the commercial sector consumed 5.1%, and the agricultural sector consumed 5.2%.
