Electricity Consumption Stable under 25K MW

Electricity consumption is holding below 25,000 megawatts (MW), the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy announced, according to Amwal Al Ghad.

Lower temperatures and regular fuel supplies have resulted in stable production and consumption, according to the ministry.

Demand is expected to max on November 5th at 24,600 MW, approximately 0.8% higher than the previous day’s maximum usage of 24,400 MW, the newspaper reports.

In July, electricity consumption in Egypt topped 30,000 MW for the first time, Amwal Al Ghad reported at the time. Demand remained high in August, according to Amwal Al Ghad.
