On the sidelines of the ADIPEC Exhibition and Conference 2022, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, has met with Eni’s CEO, Claudio Descalzi to discuss the latest investments of Eni in Egypt as well as its business plan during the current and next year.

El Molla highlighted the importance of increasing the successful partnership in oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) to benefit from the promising capabilities in Egypt to increase production. He noted that Eni is the biggest petroleum investor and producer in addition to its active cooperation with the petroleum sector on adopting emission reduction initiatives.

For his part, Descalzi affirmed Eni’s keenness on boosting its investments in Egypt and supporting the partnership between the two sides expressing his eagerness to participate in COP 27 summit which will be hosted in Egypt during November.
