Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Halliburton for the development of oil and gas sector’s employees, in attendance of Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
According to the MoU, Halliburton will invest in the young and middle-management development programs as a part of the ministry’s Modernization Project, providing practical training programs to cadres in the oil and gas sector with an aim to develop their skills and efficiency and prepare them to take leading position in the future.
The Modernization program aims to create an attractive investment climate as it builds potential talents, El Molla said, pointing out to the mutual trust between the sector and its strategic partners in all fields.
The MoU is considered a strong proof of the company’s commitment and pride in working in Egypt and its continuous work to increase oil and gas activities in Egypt, Jeff Miller, Halliburton CCEO, commented.
The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the CERAWeek taking place in Houston, US.
