Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) to enhance bilateral cooperation in the disaster management field through exchange in resources, skills, and knowledge, reported Trade Arabia. The partners will rely on using the latest crisis and emergency systems, and the Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Gulf News 24/7 quoted HE Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Hosani, Director General of NCEMA as saying that cooperation with DEWA will help develop national emergency, crisis, and disaster procedures for Dubai, in addition to the function that DEWA already serves in the maintaining of energy efficiency and environmental standards.

The MoU was signed by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Dr. Al Hosani.
