Cyprus has renewed an agreement with French energy company, Total for oil and gas offshore explorations for additional 2 years, PennEnergy reported, despite disappointing first round of exploratory drilling in 2014.
Total’s exploration area is situated north of Egyptian waters with largest gas deposit in the Mediterranean Sea discovered by ENI in August 2015, according to PennEnergy’s earlier report.
