Consumption of Petroleum Products Rises

Consumption of petroleum products rose 5.24% in September to 3.256 million tons, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

In August, consumption stood at 3.094 million tons.

Year-on-year, consumption fell 6.49% from the 3.482 million tons consumed in September 2016, according to statistics released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

Output fell. Egypt produced 2.751 million tons of petroleum products in September, down 2.06% from the 2.809 million tons the preceding month. Year-on-year, production fell 0.54% from 2.766 million tons.
