Egypt’s XD-EGEMAC’s CEO, Medhat Ramadan said that the company is waiting for custom authorities at Sokhna port to release 12 electrical adapters, with a capacity of 175 MV, in order for them to be transported to Aswan in the south of Egypt and installed at Benban solar energy project, reported Al Borsa News.
The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy signed a deal with XD-EGEMAC, worth EGP 650m, to provide adapters to electricity transforming station in Benban used in transporting produced solar electricity as per Feed-in-Tariff agreements. The company will supply all required electrical adapters by the end of November.
Ramadan added that XD-EGEMAC received the first payment as a signing bonus and will address the ministry regarding the second payment after the adapters are finally delivered to Aswan.
