The Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) has annouced that Egypt topped the list of Arabic countries who achieved growth in exporting the liquefied natural gas (LNG) during Q1 2021.

Egypt’s Damietta liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant delivered first cargo to Belgium import terminal at Zeebrugge on March 21, 2021. It is the first cargo to be sent to Europe from Damietta since it resumed operations in late February, according to S&P Global Platt.

Eni has recently closed the agreement signed last December with the Egyptian state represented in the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), and the Spanish Naturgy company that will restart the Damietta liquefaction plant in Egypt
