BAPETCO Makes New Discovery in Western Desert

Badr El-Din Petroleum Company (BAPETCO) has made a new natural gas discovery in the Badr-15 area through the BED 15-31 well in the Western Desert .
The new well has already been brought online with an initial production rate of 16 million cubic feet (mcf ) of gas and 750 barrels of condensate per day. The discovery, located in the Lower Bahariya reservoir, is expected to add around 15 billion cubic feet (bcf) of gas to Egypt’s reserves.

At the conclusion of his participation in the ADIPEC 2025 Exhibition and Conference in Abu Dhabi, Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, met with executives and leaders of U.S Bechtel Corporation, China’s United Energy Group (UEG), Norwegian Subsea7, and U.S S&P Global.
