Tecnimont Reviews Egypt’s Investments Opportunities

The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, met with a delegation of top officials from Italy’s Maire Tecnimont Group, including the company’s Chairman, Fabrizio Di Amato, and the CEO, Pierroberto Folgiero, to discuss cooperation opportunities in implementing new petrochemical projects, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The minister and his guests reviewed the oil and gas sector’s available investment opportunities in light of the ministry’s strategy, aimed at upgrading Egypt’s petrochemicals industry and boost the value added projects. The meeting highlighted current projects, as well as expansion projects of Sidi Krir Company for Petrochemicals Company (Sidpec) and the Petrochemical Complex in Suez.

Meanwhile, Amato reviewed the development of the industrial projects implemented by the Italian company in Egypt, highlighting projects in the field of fertilizers.

“Tecnimont is seeking to expand its business in Egypt and to establish fruitful partnership with its oil and gas sector, in light of the sector’s increasing growth rates,” Amato pointed out.
