Subsea 7 Awarded Offshore Engineering Contract in West Delta

Burullus Gas Company has awarded Subsea 7 an engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning contract for the West Delta Deep Marine Phase 9B development project, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The London-based company will connect six new wells to existing subsea facilities using a flowline.

Subsea 7 has already begun project management at its Egypt and France offices, and the offshore work is expected to begin in the second half of 2019.

The company did not disclose the value of the contract, but described it as sizeable, ranging from $50 million to $150 million.

“This award recognizes our track record of good execution and our established local presence in Egypt. We look forward to continuing our successful and collaborative relationship with Burullus,” the company’s regional vice president for Africa, Gilles Lafaye, said.
