Saudi Aramco to Export Crude Oil to Poland’s PKN

Saudi Aramco Products Trading Company will export up to 800,000 tonnes of crude oil to Poland’s biggest refiner PKN Orlen, Reuters reported.

The crude oil is expected to arrive Poland in six spot deliveries between May and October.

On the other hand, Aramco agreed with PKN to purchase heavy heating oil from its unit in Lithuania.

“We test various supply options and at the same time build strategic partnership with the supplier from Saudi Arabia,” PKN Orlen Chief Executive Daniel Obajtek was quoted as saying in a statement.

This deal comes in line with PKN’s steps to reduce its reliance on Russia. That is why it has a long-term deal with Aramco to receive around 300,000 tonnes of crude oil per month.
