The initial public offering (IPO) for Saudi Aramco remains scheduled for 2018, the Saudi Arabian Minister of Finance, Mohammed El Jadaan, told investors, Reuters reports.

Earlier reports had indicated that Saudi Arabia was preparing contingency plans in case the IPO was pushed back until early 2019, Reuters reports.

Saudi Arabia plans to list up to 5% of Saudi Aramco next year.
