Qatargas signed a contract to deliver 1.1 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to OMV annually for five years, Reuters reports.

The first shipment will arrive in January 2019, according to Reuters. The LNG will be shipped to Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The Gate Terminal in Rotterdam has the capability to regasify LNG, according to the terminal’s website.

The regasified LNG will then be able to be transported via Europe’s gas pipelines.

Qatargas is a state-owned natural gas company of the Emirate of Qatar. OMV is an Austrian oil and gas company.
