As part of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy to conduct on-site monitoring of work and production sites, the CEO of Petroleum Marine Services (PMS), Amr Badawy, conducted a field visit to the company’s marine unit, PMS 12, at the West El Burullus (WEB) Offshore Gas Field Development Project in Idku region.
He received a detailed presentation on the project status, including the installation of the WEB Offshore platform jacket, a critical component of the project operated by West El Burullus Petroleum Company (PetroWEB).
Badawy stressed the importance of expediting the completion of the remaining work while fully adhering to quality and safety standards to ensure the project enters the operational and production phase as quickly as possible.
PMS has recently completed the laying of an 8-inch offshore gas pipeline in the West Burullus Gas Field using the PMS 11 marine unit, which features the latest specialized technical capabilities for pipeline installation and platform construction.
The company is scheduled to complete the installation of another 14-inch offshore gas pipeline, spanning 32 kilometers, according to the set timetable.
Additionally, PMS is preparing to install an additional offshore platform, the Papyrus platform, as part of the project to enhance gas production from the West Burullus Offshore Gas Field under the scope of West Burullus Petroleum Company (PetroWeb).
