Petroleum Marine Services (PMS) has completed the installation of two offshore production platforms, Hoor-1/2 and KSE-1, under Phase Four of the Kamose offshore gas field development project in North Sinai, the company said in a statement.
The two platforms weigh 575 tons each, bringing their combined weight to 1,150 tons. PMS carried out the installation using its offshore barge PMS-12 and supporting marine units.
The company had previously completed the installation and laying of three subsea pipelines, each with a diameter of eight inches, as part of the project.
The Hoor-1/2 platform is designed to accommodate two wells. The first is scheduled for drilling under the current fourth phase, while the second is planned for the fifth phase.
PMS will proceed with the next project stages by installing the 510-ton Snefru offshore production platform, followed by tie-in and commissioning activities.
PMS was awarded the contract for the fourth phase of the Kamose field development in July 2025.
The field is part of the Offshore North Sinai (ONS) development lease, operated by North Sinai Petroleum Company (NOSPCO). The 355-square-kilometer (km²) concession comprises the Tao and Kamose areas, whose conventional natural gas production is directed to the domestic market.
