Nigeria Takes Delivery of Two LPG Vessels from South Korea

Joint venture of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), The West Africa Gas Ltd (WAGL), along with Sahara Energy, have taken delivery of two LPG carriers. The two vessels, namely: “MT Africa Gas” and “MT Sahara Gas”,  have a capacity of 38,000 cubic meters and have been delivered from  the Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) in Ulsan, South Korea, Africa Business Communities reported.

The action is expected to help improve the supply network of the subsector, which has often impeded stable availability of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), also called cooking gas, Leadership informed.

WAGL JV, which was incorporated in March 2013, will serve as a vehicle for off-take, marketing and trading of Natural Gas liquids (NGLs) across Africa and beyond.
