MSMEDA Facilitates NGV Conversion in Installments Up to 5 Years

The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) with the cooperation of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoP) through the Natural Gas Vehicles Company (Cargas) and the Egyptian International Gas Technology (Gastec) has put facilitations to encourage citizens to convert their cars to run on natural gas.

According to the statement, the cost of car conversion to run on natural gas will be paid without any financial burdens on the car owners. Car owners can pay the conversion cost in installment from one to five years through Cargas and Gastec companies. They can also pay at gas stations or Fawry outlets.

Additionally, the Minister of Industry and Trade; and the Managing Director of MSMED, Neveen Gamea, called for car owners, taxies, and microbuses to take advantage of these benefits and convert their cars in car conversion centers of Cargas and Gastec in various governorates to achieve savings up to 55%. Gamea added as well that all the documents regarding conversion are limited to the car license, ID card, and a receipt of the car owner’s residence.

It should be noted that the MSMEDA agency contributes to the implementation of the presidential initiatives to convert 150,000 cars over the next three years with easy procedures.
