Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tareq El Molla, held meeting to follow up on the natural gas car conversion and the expansion of the natural gas stations to reach about 1000 stations in Egypt by the end of 2021, according to press release.

The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) with the cooperation of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoP) through Cargas and Gastec has put facilitation to encourage citizens to convert their cars to run on natural gas.

The Chairman of the Egyptian International Gas Technology (Gastec), Abdel Fattah Farahat, has signed the fourth phase of the fundng contract for converting cars to run on dual fuel (natural gas- gasoline) with the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) worth EGP 10 million under the presidential initiative to expand the utilization of natural gas as a fuel for vehicles.
