The Mineral Resources and Mining Industries Authority (MRMIA) has announced the closing dates for bidding on several available blocks, including gold, Kaolin, and phosphate.
According to MRMIA, the bidding deadline for the Ed72 gold, Kk6 kaolin, and Ph40 phosphate blocks is September 16, 2026.
The closing date for the Ec71 gold block is set for September 17, 2026.
Meanwhile, bids for the Df72, Df74, Ea71, and Eb68 gold blocks will close on September 18, 2026.
MRMIA noted that if any closing date coincides with an official holiday, the deadline will be extended to the first working day after the holiday.
The bidding is occurring through the authority’s Open Blocks System (OBS), which allows companies to apply for mineral exploration blocks at any time, without waiting for a fixed bid round closing date.
MRMIA has previously announced September 8–11, 2026, as the closing dates for bidding on another 21 exploration blocks, including gold, phosphate, kaolin, and talc.
