Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, held a meeting with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, and President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, Abdel Moneim Al Taras, to follow up on the procedures and efforts to provide the needs of the development and service projects that are being implemented, especially pipes, the Cabinet announced.

Madbouly started the meeting, noting that it comes to follow up the efforts to increase the production volume of pipes that are used in the implementation of infrastructure projects, such as water; sewage; and natural gas, in order to meet the increasing demand for these pipes, in light of the growth of construction sector projects.

The prime minister highlighted that the state is currently working to provide raw materials used in the manufacture of pipes, and to increase local manufacturing capabilities.

El Molla indicated that work is being done to provide the raw materials required for the manufacture of pipes, as well as to increase the production capacity of factories, in addition to increasing production lines, with the aim of providing the needs of various development and service projects.

This comes in light of the great boom, we are witnessing in the implementation of these projects that require doubling the production volume of polyethylene pipes in particular which can be used in drinking water, sewage, or natural gas projects, El Molla stated, noting that there is coordination with the concerned authorities to import the quantities that may be needed.
