Kuwait Awarded SPIE 5-Year Contract

SPIE Oil & Gas Services, multi-technical services subsidiary of the SPIE Group, has won a five-year contract from the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) for its Clean Fuels Project (CFP), reported Trade Arabia.

Under the agreement, the services shall involve providing commissioning management and support services at both Mina Al Ahmadi (MAA) and Mina Abdullah (MAB) refineries. SPIE will work in tandem with KNPC’s operational teams, according to Street Insider. The project will help link the two facilities into an integrated refining complex and further enhances performance towards operational safety, reliability and energy conservation

The Clean Fuels Project is a major upgrade of KNPC’s flagship refineries, and is currently under engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phase of implementation. It aims meet the future diversified market requirements for petroleum products both in the domestic and international sectors.
