Gazprom Increases Gas Production, Exports in 2021

Gazprom announced that it successfully produced 378.1 billion cubic meters (bcm) between January and September 2021, representing a 17.3% increase compared to the same period in 2020.

Gazprom elaborated that its domestic supplies from natural gas transmission system jumped by 15.9% equivalent to 23.9 bcm during the same period.

The company’s exports to the countries beyond the Former Soviet Union (FSU) rose to 145.8 bcm during the nine months, which is higher than the figure for the same period of 2020 by 15.3%.

Gazprom also reported significant growth in gas exports to Turkey by 138.3%, Germany 33.2%, Italy 14.2%, Romania 305.6 %, Serbia 125.2%, Poland 11.2 %, Bulgaria 52.5 %, Greece 10.8 %, and Finland 17.5%. The company added that its exports to China have witnessed growth, after finishing maintenance of the Power of Siberia pipeline in late September 2021.
