A meeting was set between the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, the Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker and the Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait to review the electricity system development, according to the official Spokesman of the Egyptian Presidency Bassam Rady.
The meeting tackled the service improvement and the latest national grid’s development updates, which comes to serve the governmental plan for developing the electricity sector on a wide range to fulfill Egypt’s current and future needs, in addition to presenting the establishment of a number of major national projects across Egypt.
El-Sisi pointed to establishment of the planned projects according to the highest international standards using the latest techniques, in addition to starting the electricity power link projects with neighboring countries.
The spokesman also added that Shaker represented the electricity sector’s improvement efforts that played a big role in enhancing the national grid’s ability to handle any overload during the summer.
Shaker also discussed the prepaid meters installation expansion in continuation of automating and improving the electric service, as well as for the new administrative capital infrastructure and the nuclear station in El-Dabaa.
