Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, held a meeting to follow up on the plan set for expanding usage of compressed natural gas (CNG) as vehicle fuel for the fiscal year 2020/21, according to a press release.
During the regular meeting held to review the agenda of the CNG expansion project, El Molla highlighted that the sales of natural gas fuel have witnessed a boom due to the support offered by the presidential initiative to expand usage of natural gas as vehicle fuel.
El Molla also urged the expansion in natural gas stations. Meanwhile, he underlined the necessity to implement the procedures of health and safety to protect the workers from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Meeting also discussed plans to depend on a number of companies, that work on natural gas delivery for households, to work on natural gas stations projects. El Molla directed full training of the cadres to carry out their work under full supervision by the Natural Gas Vehicles Company (Car Gas) and the Egyptian International Gas Technology (Gastec).
