Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has praised and appreciated the petroleum sector achievements as well the workers’ performance during the past eight years on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of Petroleum Day.

El Molla said that the sector managed to convert the challenges into success stories which makes it an ideal model to be followed. 

He added that the workers and employees exerted a lot of effort in implementing the country’s strategy including transforming Egypt into a regional energy hub which boost the investors’ trust in this sector. 

Additionally, the minister referred to the distinguished participation of the oil and gas sector during the current COP27 summit at Sharm El Sheikh for the first time considering it a positive reflection of the sector and its human cadres.

El Molla affirmed that the sector will intensify efforts to increase production, digitization, expand infrastructure and support environmental sustainability.
