Mohamed Awad, PetroSilah Petroleum Company Chairman and Managing Director, reviewed the company’s performance highlights during the past fiscal year (FY) 2025/26, including achieving 8.5 million safe working hours, fulfilling its crude oil production plan, completing the drilling of one development well, and commencing drilling operations on a second well.
This came at Petrosilah’s general assembly to approve FY 2025/26 results, during which the company revealed plans to drill six wells during the current fiscal year, according to a statement by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC).
EGPC CEO Salah AbdelKerim underscored the need for regular reviews of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) system and called for updating the study on electrically linking the company’s fields, a step seen as vital to cutting diesel use and ensuring operational sustainability.
Petrosilah Petroleum Company is a joint venture (JV) between EGPC, the international energy group IPR, together with the UK-based Pharos Energy.
The General Assembly acknowledged the shared commitment of the company and its partners to accelerate 2026 budget implementation and investments, with EGPC support targeting full completion by year-end.
