Egyptian petroleum minister, Tarek El Molla, met the Spanish ambassador to Egypt, Arturo Avello, at the end of his working period in Cairo, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

During their talk, El Molla praised the mutual cooperation between Egypt and Spain and its effect on increasing investments in Egypt.

El Molla confirmed that Egypt is doing its best to increase the cooperation with the European Union through establishing vital economic projects including the national project to transform Egypt into a regional center for oil and gas trading.

This project represents a turning point that will benefit both regional and European countries, El Molla added.

The positive developments that have occurred in Egypt’s economy, especially in the oil and gas sector over the last two years, will attract many Spanish investors, Avello pointed out.
