Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla held a meeting with the officials of the Ministries of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Finance, and E-Finance Company to discuss the updates of the electronic system of distributing petroleum products and follow up with the implementation of the second phase of the system, according to Al Mal .

Furthermore, the meeting was attended by E-Finance Chairman Ibrahim Sarhan, Project Manager Khaled Abdel Ghany, First Undersecretary of the Ministry Mohamed Taher, CEO of EGPC Abed Ezz El Regal, Minister of Finance Assistant  Khaled Nasef, Deputy Chairman of EGPC for Internal Trade Khaled Othman ,Vice President of EGPC for Transport and Distribution Ayman Nagib, and Undersecretary of the Ministry for Transport and Marketing of Petroleum Products Mohamed Othman.

During the meeting, El Molla explained that the main objective of implementing the electronic system is to control the transportation and circulation of petroleum products to eliminate smuggling and manipulation of subsidized fuel. This is beside providing accurate statistics and reports to follow up the market and provide accurate information to policy makers.
