Egyptian and Tanzanian Ministers Forge Mining Cooperation in Riyadh

On the sidelines of his participation in the International Mining Conference in Saudi Arabia, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi met with Steven L. Kiruswa(MP) Deputy Minister of Minerals of Tanzania

The two sides discussed collaboration in the field of mining in light of the distinguished relations between Egypt and Tanzania.

During the meeting, Badawi reviewed the sector’s future plan in the field of mining and his desire to achieve cooperation with the Tanzanian side, especially in the field of artisanal mining and how it can be developed in Egypt to contribute to the advancement of the sector. 

The two sides agreed to cooperate and work together to transfer expertise and lessons learned to apply them in the Egyptian mining sector.
